Here's another song. It was written out of a natural expression of the fascination for God. The depths of who He is and His character that are unending...they are transcendent. The living creatures around his throne are specifically designed by God to gaze upon him in fascination of his transcendent beauty and revelation. There is an endless stream of new facets of Him that cause them to fall at his feet day and night crying out HOLY, HOLY, HOLY. The good thing is that it also fascinates us if we choose to search out who He is, and we can never get bored because we will never know the fullness of who He is. The only reason people think Christianity is boring is because they don't know Him. So many people believe in Him but they don't know Him, they think of Him as distant and uninterested in the affairs of man. They think of Him as stingy in what he reveals about Himself. Our view of God will determine our pursuit of Him. He is not just a good idea, He is not empty words on a page or echos spoken through the ages. He is a living, breathing, Jewish man that is entirely interested in us. He DESIRES relationship with His created ones. There is a wedding planned for the end of the age for those whos hearts are burning for desire for Him.
We were made to be like this man for we were created in His image. If we don't know Him we are are not fulfilling our destiny to become like Him. Beholding....is...Becoming.
